Allah says about them in the Quran: Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed. (Quran 5:78) So these were certain groups of people from among the Banu Israel, not the whole of Banu Israel, who transgressed. Allah says in Surah Qasas, in verse 77: "But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done good to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters" [28: 77]. Secrets Hidden in Quran: Only Allah knows fully His Will. We finite beings cannot grasp fully His infinite Will and Wisdom. He runs His universe the way He deems fit. Allah says in the Qur'an: No calamity occurs, except by the leave of Allah; and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart. And Allah knows all things. (Al-Taghabun 64:11) It says: The Almighty Allah has created the means of sustenance and made them subservient to human beings. Humans should thus seek ways to acquire these means and bring forth the sustenance for the benefit of all. In the very opening verse, the Quran says: رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ - Allah is Sustainer of all the worlds. Enter the Holy Land, which Allah has destined for you, and do not turn your back or you will turn about losers." (Quran: 5:21) One of the earliest commentaries on the Quran was made by the 18 th 1. He is the one God, Who has no partner. 2. Nothing is like Him. He is the Creator, not created, nor a part of His creation. 3. He is All-Powerful, absolutely Just. 4. There is no other entity in the entire universe worthy of worship besides Him. 5. He is First, Last, and Everlasting; He was when nothing was, and will be when nothing else remains. There are many verses in the Quran that describe Allah. We will quote only a few of them here. a- Say: He is Allah the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth, not nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not laugh too much, for laughing too much deadens the heart." (Sahih al-Jami', 7312) 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever laughs too much or jokes too much loses respect, and whoever persists in doing something will be known for it."
